Every figure is labelled

Waypoint Travel never invents a price, an availability or a confirmation. If we don't know something, the label says so.

  • Provider data

    Returned by a connected provider just now. This is current external data.

  • Waypoint curated

    Written and maintained by Waypoint Travel. It is guidance, not live supplier data.

  • Estimate

    Calculated by Waypoint Travel's own routing engine from sample inventory. Realistic, but not a quote — the real figure can differ.

  • Out of date

    This figure was worked out earlier. Re-open the plan for a fresh calculation.

  • Not available yet

    We don't have this information, and we won't invent it. It needs a provider connection we don't have yet.

    Calculated by Waypoint Travel's deterministic routing engine. The arithmetic is real; the schedules feeding it are sample data.

  • Flight faresEstimate

    The figures in the plan are seasonal, day-of-week and route-based estimates. The supplier check is labelled as practice or provider data according to the connected account, and it never overwrites the estimate.

  • Rideshare, taxi, train, coach and transfersEstimate

    Typical fares for the route. Availability at a given hour isn't confirmed. Waymo is only offered where it really operates.

  • Places to stayEstimate

    Representative property types, not real hotels. Rates and amenities are planning estimates while accommodation providers are being connected.

  • Private aviation and empty legsEstimate

    Sample fleet pricing. No operator account is connected, so we can't say an aircraft is genuinely free on your date.

  • What to see and where to eatWaypoint curated

    Hand-written by us for the cities we know. Cities we haven't written up say so rather than being filled with invented places.

  • Live flight statusProvider data

    When you check a flight number, the answer comes straight from the live flight-data feed. Rail and ferry status isn't connected yet, and the what-if delay analysis remains a calculation from your planned buffers, not a live feed.

  • Guest reviews and scoresNot available yet

    Reviews must come from a provider. We will never write or estimate a guest score.

  • Reservations and paymentNot available yet

    Sending a trip request does not charge you and does not reserve anything. Real booking needs provider accounts and a payment provider.
